VGChartz's Damián "Wright" Cruz Latorre: "While a genre that does not have a rigid definition, games in this category offer diverse and multifarious experiences that emphasize the undertaking of its characters. Whether the player is dealing with obstacles that require some good lateral thinking, choosing carefully what to say to comrades so that they don't get into uproar, or running away from an angry goat, adventure games keep delighting gamers throughout the years."

The Room Has a Game, And it's Tearing Me Apart

Nic Rueben writes: "Playing as Johnny in all his lumpy-faced glory, youll explore the city of San Francisco, undertaking various quests involving the cast of The Room. In contrast to the excuse for Hollywood elitism that is The Disaster Artist, theres something genuinely heartfelt about this adaption. Each scene is lovingly recreated with a vibrant, pixelated aesthetic, plus you get all your favourite The Room lines that youve already quoted to death by this point, reinvigorated through the magic of RPG text boxes."

Super Hydorah Review (PS4) | Hey Poor Player

HPP: The busy world of video games has seen its fair share of retro-inspired titles the last handful of years. Games like Shovel Knight, Undertale, and Slain have brought us back to the days when CRT TVs treated us to chunky pixels and rockin chiptunes. Although the current influx of retro-themed goodness has been pure bliss for us older gamers, I personally couldnt help but notice that the good old shoot em up genre had been sorely missing. Dont get me wrong. I love my platformers and old school RPGs, but I yearn for the days of maneuvering a spaceship through hundreds of bullets while blasting away robotic aliens.
