Developer Bulkhead Interactive has announce that its old-school WW2 shooter, Battalion 1944, on Thursday, February 1st.
Battalion 1944 first emerged back in 2016 when Derby-based Bulkhead Interactive - the studio behind Pneuma: Breath of Life, and the well-received first-person puzzler The Turing Test - launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund development of the project.
Its World War 2-flavoured first-person multiplayer focus, and the studio's stated aim to recreate the kind of action seen in early shooters like Call of Duty 2, clearly struck a chord with backers; the game reached its £100,000 target in less than three days.

TSA writes: "The list so big, it needed a sequel; its time to head back to the Land of the Rising Sun. While Sega was the star of the show in our first Japan themed Ones to Watch, this time in the spotlight are Square Enix and Bandai Namco in equal measure. Theres also that long awaited Kickstarter from Yu Suzuki that fans have been rabid about for decades now, especially since their own money helped fund it. With that said, the first one is a doozy!"

|Slain: Back from Hell Review (Nintendo Switch) - Pixelated Gamer|
Added: 06.01.2018 0:49 | 0 views | 0 comments
Slain: Back from Hell originally released in 2016 on the PS4, Xbox One and PC. The protagonist, known as Bathoryn, has to traverse through 6 realms and defeat each boss within to free the cursed lands. It was funded through a Kickstarter campaign and got a lot of attention due to the gnarly pixelated art style and killer metal soundtrack recorded by Curt Victor Bryant. It has loads of Gothic style throughout the game and features the old-school difficulty that was very prominent in these retro 2D action-platformers.
