AR apps are about to get even better with iOS 11.3, but what's the big deal? Apple's got another update in store for us soon, this time heavily affecting one of its niftiest features, ARKit, but in a very good way.
Once it rolls out, ARKit 1.5 will be able to offer more freedom to developers and consumers as it moves from primarily flat surfaces and branches out to posters, doors, and walls. I know that sounds a little weird but bear with me.
ARKit 1.5 allows developers to transform more objects into cool, interactive experiences, such as posters, signs, and artworks. If you're not very impressed by the idea, just imagine what it could lead to.
As suggested in Apple's , if we get to a place where museums and galleries can successfully integrate the technology into their exhibits, it could open up a totally new world of interactive learning.
